2020 Jeep Gladiator

The Jeep brand has returned to the pickup market after over 27 years and no other pickup in its segment looks so cool and approachable from any angle. The new Jeep Gladiator for 2020 doesn't just stand out for its classic design, it outguns the competition in off-road adventures.

It is in some degrees like its cousin the Wrangler as the four door “Glad” can go topless and door-less to allow Mother Nature's cool breezes to flow around its happy occupants. The Gladiator is the only convertible in its class and that is a big plus. It also differs from the Wrangler with larger slat openings in the grille to allow for better cooling to help out in the Gladiator's strong best towing in its class.

This Jeep can tow around 7600 lbs and also carry a payload of 1600. No problems getting your favorite toys to out of the way camping or fishing spots. It is also longer by 31- inches slightly wider and heavier to accommodate the functional five foot bed with over 11-inches of ground clearance. Of course, the new Gladiator comes with the iconic Jeep styling and super off-road capabilities and it didn't get the Gladiator badge just for the sake of it as this machine really is a “tough hombre”. Another plus is its light weight high-strength steel and aluminum body on frame construction.

The five-foot bed is also constructed with strong steel with standard lighting inside the box and four heavy duty tie-downs for your trail bike or other cargo. Available is an external power source, spray-on bed liner and a cargo management system along with the damped 3-way tail-gate. For the Gladiator's off the beaten path creeds, the Sport and Overland models have Jeep's Command-Trac setup that comes with a 2-speed transfer case and heavy duty Dana 44 front and rear axles. Then of course, there is the very popular and cool looking Rubicon Gladiator that comes standard with the Rock-Trac 4X4 system, locking differentials and an electronic sway-bar disconnect for the rough terrain. Another plus is the available Selec-Speed Control, which is like cruise control for off-roading.

No big decision currently on what is under its handsome hood as you have the feisty 3.6-liter V6 that is mated standard with a quick throwing 6-speed stick or the available 8-speed automatic. It is all good owning the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Car and Driver nailed it when they commented: “You can't not smile while driving it. It's like a golden retriever puppy,” So why not put that “fun factor” back into your drive times? Life is just too short.
